Although this card would not be the worst option for building your credit history, it would not be my recommendation either. The TJX credit card is issued by Synchrony Bank, which is an issuer of many store credit cards. One unfortunate feature about many store cards is that not all card activity is reported to all three major credit bureaus. In addition, the 26.99% APR that this card has could also cause you to spend more in interest which would not be helpful for building credit. Especially seeing as many store cards come with low limits which can lower your score because it may cause your credit utilization to be high. I might recommend one of the Discover credit cards because Discover cards come with your FICO credit score on monthly statements, which is useful for keeping track of your credit. In addition, the cards may also come with a 0% introductory APR on purchases (when the introductory interest rate is over, the ongoing APR will apply).
