I’m a frequent flyer of KLM airlines, but I see they don’t have the USA credit card. Is there any credit card that you can offer?

Answered on

If you often fly KLM and sometimes fly other airlines you won’t encounter any problems with the Discover it® Miles. Continue reading

Which is the best credit card for travel rewards: Chase Sapphire Preferred ($95/year), the Discover it Miles ($0/year)? Cost is not an issue. Since the Sapphire card is good for British Airways is it also good for American Airlines? Also, is the 1:1 exchange rate under Chase lower than what you can exchange for a ticket with Discover? I don’t know if they use different conversion rates for free tickets. Thanks

Answered on

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card is good for travelers and those who also spend a lot on dining as it gives 2 points for travel and dining purchases. All other purchases earn only 1 point per dollar. The sign-up bonus is quite standard for travel cards – 50,000 points after spending $4,000 on… Continue reading

I have a Southwest credit card which I haven’t used for quite a long time but it has some lingering points on it. So I decided to redeem those points and close the card but I wasn’t able to do so! What should I do? How can I use those points?

Answered on

There can be two reasons you cannot redeem your miles. The first is you are trying to redeem Southwest points for a travel after the date your miles are due to expire. Since you haven’t used your card for a while, we can assume that you haven’t had qualifying earning activity. And, according to… Continue reading

Had United card until recently and was unable to book a single flight using my United miles. Tried flexible dates – no available seats, tried to book far in advance – no available seats. Got frustrated and just closed the card. Now I’m looking for a card that can really give me a ticket for miles. Can you help?

Answered on

United redemptions options are very flexible and awards seats should be available at least at a standard rate, as long as there is a seat available. However, unfortunately, such situations like yours occur, which is a great minus of the frequent flyer miles, and it makes airline credit cards… Continue reading

I need a card to redeem miles with KLM. Of course it’s better to have a card without annual fee. Can you recommend such a card?

Answered on

There are regular travel rewards credit cards issued by major banks that will allow you to redeem miles with any airline, including KLM and Air France. You can find miles rewards credit card offers from Discover or Barclays. Continue reading

I wanted to apply for a Sun Country credit card, but found out that they don’t fly to Hawaii, neither to Tahiti. I wanted to earn rewards on my vacation, what credit card do you suggest?

Answered on

If you are yet unsure of the venue of vacation and the airline, then there’s no sense in choosing a co-branded credit card. Continue reading

I often fly with Southwest Airlines but I also fly with other airlines, so I don’t want to apply for their Rapid credit card. I need a card that will get me a reward ticket regardless the airline I fly.

Answered on

It’s understandable that you do not want to apply for the Rapid Visa card as it won’t allow you to earn big rewards everywhere and won’t allow you to redeem the way you want. Continue reading

I fly to Switzerland regularly as my company has a branch there. I fly Swiss a lot. Should I get their card to earn on my business flights?

Answered on

Getting a credit card to earn on your flights is a good idea, getting a Swiss co-branded credit card – not so much. First, it’s unavailable to the USA residents. Continue reading

I’m fed up with Miles&Smiles! I signed up only because I fly Turkish a lot, but their system is horrible, I can’t search availability and I so far I couldn’t book any award flight although I have enough miles. What to do?

Answered on

Don’t worry, we’ll be there for you. Searching award availability can be a nightmare, but knowing the ins and outs of travel booking can save you a lot of trouble. Continue reading

How to buy airline miles?

Answered on

When you are short of miles and do not want to miss that award flight to Europe, you can purchase air miles. Most airlines sell miles on a regular basis and often offer bonus promos when frequent flyer miles go for sale at a reduced cost. To buy airline miles, you first of all should have a… Continue reading
