Hotel.com rewards members are eligible to win a free stay during the company’s My Free Night giveaway, which was launched earlier this week and ends on December 31.

During the next four months both current and new members of the Welcome Rewards loyalty program are eligible to win a free night at any of the 85,000 hotel properties that can be booked through the online hotel booking site.

Existing members in the U.S. and Canada are automatically entered into the drawing each day, but anyone can enter by registering on the hotels.com website. The free nights being given away are valued at $200 each.

Getting the word out

The accommodation booking site is using social media to spread the word. Travelers are encouraged to share stories, pictures and videos of how they used free nights, whether they won them or earned them. Or just how they spend their downtime or would like to.

This giveaway was designed to draw attention to the hotel.com loyalty program. Members earn one free night for every 10 nights they book through one of the participating hotels. The maximum value of the free night award is based on the average daily rate of the 10 bookings. There are no blackout dates with this program.

Hotels.com also has a price match guarantee, so if a member finds a better deal elsewhere on a prepaid hotel they will refund the difference or they can cancel with no penalty. An app is also available so members can take hotels.com on the road to look up deals and book hotels, resorts and bed & breakfasts in its network.

Hotels.com is part of Expedia, Inc. The hotel booking site was developed to assist travelers with booking prepaid hotel rooms. It has millions of guest reviews to help travelers decide which properties to choose. They also have a biannual Hotel Price Index, which is an assessment of  hotel pricing trends.
