A New American Express Card For Travelers

The content is accurate at the time of publication and is subject to change.

First Bankcard has introduced the TravElite American Express card, a new rewards card designed for frequent travelers. It offers triple points on travel purchases, and a variety of travel perks including reimbursement for the Global Entry fee, a travel price guarantee, and premium concierge services.

When cardholders book a hotel room or flight with their TravElite American Express card they earn 3 points per dollar. Other purchases, including gas, groceries, dinning out and movies, earn1.5 per dollar. There is a $99 annual fee for the card.

Points can be redeemed for travel, gift cards, or merchandise. People can also get cash back, which will be credited to their account.

People who use their online service to book a flight, car or hotel are given their lowest price guarantee, so if they find a lower price within 72 hours they can get the difference refunded. They have to apply for it though. When booking trips they can use their TravElite card or points, or a combination. There are no blackout dates on flights.

The Extras

Cardmembers who opt to register for Global Entry, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program designed for pre-approved, low-risk travelers will get a $100 statement credit to cover the application fee. The program allows them to get through security faster when arriving at certain U.S airports.

People can also register their card for the Premium Concierge services, offering them help with everything from reserving a car to getting a babysitter or making a dinner reservation.

An annual $100 statement credit will be issued to members to cover incidental airline expenses, including food and beverages bought on the airplane, access to airport lounges, and fees for checking their bag. Around-the-clock emergency roadside assistance is also part of the package.

First Bankcard is a division of First National Bank of Omaha, which specializes in creating credit card partnerships. They have offices in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Texas.
