Alicia Keys and Maroon 5 – for Members Only
Beginning September 18, Alicia Keys and Maroon 5 fans can purchase tickets to the Citi AAdvantage Love the Journey Concert series, produced by LiveNation – but only with a Citi AAdvantage credit card. Tickets are limited to two per member and will be first-come, first-served, and the concerts are expected to sell out quickly.
Ralph Andretta, head of co-brands and loyalty and Citi Cards, said in a press release, “We’re always looking for new ways to reward our customers’ loyalty, and these concerts are a unique way to recognize Citi AAdvantage customers and celebrate our 25-year journey with American Airlines. We look forward to hosting these great performances where our customers can listen to their favorite music and hear about the artists’ journeys.”
A Hometown Show
The first concert will be on October 15 at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City, a small concert space where attendees will be able to enjoy Keys’ storytelling as well as her songs. Along with performing songs from her new album, Girl on Fire, she will talk about the road to superstardom. This will be a hometown concert for Keys, who was raised in New York City and attended public school in Manhattan, not far from Avery Fisher Hall.
“I can’t think of a better way to share new music from Girl On Fire than by holding a special, intimate concert,” Keys says. “I really love performing in this kind of environment. It’s a connection that is indescribable.”
Maroon 5 in Los Angeles
Meanwhile, on the west coast, hit pop band Maroon 5 will be at the Orpheum Theatre. Their performance on October 19 will feature lead singer Adam Levine, a judge on the reality singing competition TV show, “The Voice,” singing hits like “Moves Like Jagger” and “She Will Be Loved.”
Levine says that, “It’s been an amazing journey sharing our music with fans over the years. We’re excited to share some of our stories along the way with fans in this special concert for Citi AAdvantage customers.”
The Citi AAdvantage credit card has been helping travelers earn airline loyalty miles while they shop since 1987, and is one of the most popular travel credit cards in the industry.
