Marriott is bringing back its MegaBonus promotion in 2014, offering reward members an opportunity to earn up to two free nights on stays between February 1 and April 30. Rewards members must register for the MegaBonus by March 31. The most recent promotion is slated to end on January 15. This one picks up two weeks later.
Travelers earn a certificate for a free night once they have completed two paid stays at a participating hotel. Two more stays will earn them an additional certificate. The promotion is capped at two free nights.
Hotel brands taking part in this promotion include: JW Marriott, Autograph Collection Hotels, Renaissance Hotels, AC Hotels, Courtyard, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Gaylord Hotels, and Marriott Vacation Club. The Ritz-Carlton is a luxury partner of Marriott and stays with them are also eligible.
Members can expect to see their free nights reflected in loyalty program accounts five days after the second stay is completed. The actual certificate will arrive in the mail. The free night stay can be booked at any of the category 1 to 4 Marriott properties located around the world, including those in Spain, Vietnam, and Rome.
Members can book single or double occupancy standard rooms with their certificate and taxes are included. However, certificates cannot be gifted, and must be used within a year. Only one room per stay is eligible to earn a free night. Accounts that earn miles cannot participate in the MegaBonus. Rooms paid for with a reward certificate cannot be used to earn additional nights.
