A new ad campaign features Gwen Stefani and her latest single, Spark the Fire, for MasterCard Priceless Surprises. But the winner of MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises sweepstakes will actually get the meet Stefani.

MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises sweepstakes gives customers the chance to win prizes for using their MasterCards to pay for purchases. The campaign emphasizes using the cards with ApplePay, but people can enter to win by using their MasterCard in any way: swiping, tapping, dipping, or clicking submit online. In the 30-second TV commercial featuring Stefani, she is shown surprising MasterCard holders who use ApplePay and MasterCard, as her Spark the Fire song plays. Prizes include merchandise, concert tickets, electronics, and travel packages.

“I’m excited to be part of a collaboration that offers me the opportunity to connect and engage with fans through amazing surprises when they least expect it,” said Stefani.

Entry details and prizes

U.S. residents over the age of 18 with a MasterCard that was opened before December 8, 2014 are eligible to enter the Priceless Surprises sweepstakes. The card can be a credit card, a debit card, or a prepaid card. Every time folks use their MasterCard, they will be entered in the contest. The promotion runs through March 31, 2015, with winners selected each month.

The grand prize is the chance to meet Stefani, and includes round-trip airfare, a hotel room, transportation, meals, spending money, and other expenses up to $35,000.

The four monthly prizes are:

  • A trip to Los Angeles to attend the 57th annual Grammy awards in February 2015. The winner and a guest will receive tickets to a pre-party hosted by MasterCard, the award ceremony, and the official Grammy after-party. Includes a makeover, a private tour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a $300 MasterCard prepaid card.
  • A trip to the Arnold Palmer Invitational (API) in Orlando in March 2015. Includes VIP passes to the API, a meet-and-greet with Arnold Palmer, a spa treatment, and a $600 MasterCard prepaid card.
  • A 5-day, 4-night trip to Maui in April 2015, including tickets to a snorkel and sea turtle cruise, a waterfall tour, a spa experience, and a $600 prepaid MasterCard.
  • A 4-day, 3-night trip to New York in August 2015. Includes a private shopping trip with a personal stylist, a guided tour of NYC, tickets to a Broadway show, dinner and lunch at popular local restaurants, and a $1,000 prepaid MasterCard.

Other prizes include merchandise autographed by Gwen Stefani and iPod touch digital music players.
