IHG Rewards Club has signed a deal with Avianca, a Latin American airline, to expand their loyalty programs. With this new partnership, members in the IHG Rewards Club and Avianca’s LifeMiles rewards program can take advantage of benefits offered by both programs whether booking rooms or a flight.
Earning and redeeming
IHG Rewards Club members can cash in their points for LifeMiles, which can then be used to book flights with Avianca which travels to Mexico, Latin American, Europe, and the Caribbean. LifeMiles can also be used to purchase tickets with any of the 28 carriers in the Star Alliance network, or be redeemed for car rentals, merchandise, entertainment, gift cards, and experiences.
Members in Avianca’s LifeMiles program can earn two miles for every dollar spent when staying at IHG Hotels around the world, including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo Hotels, Holiday Inn Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort Hotels, Holiday Inn Club Vacations, and Holiday Inn Express Hotels. Stays at Staybridge Suites Hotels and Candlewood Suites Hotels earn one mile for every dollar spent.
To take part IHG Rewards Club members must go into their profile and choose LifeMiles as their designated earning preference. Individuals who are not currently IHG Reward Club members can sign up on the website.
