The Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card is the best airline credit cards issued by the American Express. Whenever a flight ticket is purchased using this credit card it earns more SkyMiles beyond its additional rewards and benefits on its normal daily purchases. Purchasing a flight ticket earns 20,000 bonus miles which includes 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles, an equivalent to $200 which can also be used for purchases of other flight tickets. There are no restrictions on accumulation of points. An additional card request is free of charge, which in itself, earns 2,000 bonus miles. A further request of two additional cards will earn an extra 5,000 bonus miles.


In order tobenefit more from The Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, travelling with the Delta flight airline is recommended. A free-of-charge, for first bag check-in, on the Delta flight airline and Yearly renewal of this card offers a free flight within the Economy Class, on the same fight for one person, as a round-trip within the United States; This however excludes taxes, baggage charges, and other restrictions. Having a delayed baggage, beyond 18 hours, the card member is reimbursed for the purchase of essential items. The full value of baggage will be reimbursed if is lost or stolen.


The Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card covers a wide and varied range of insurance that enables the card holder to travelworry free. The Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver, which is a part of the benefit, ensures that you stay completely covered even when the rental car you are travelling in meets with an accident or gets stolen. Accidental death insurance is also covered while travelling via plane, train or bus to a value of $100,000.An additional $50,000.00 coverage is offered against damage or theft per policy per year; however, this is capped to a limit of $10,000.00 per instance.


Further, if The Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmember spends a minimum of $25,000 in a calendar year, he earns 10,000 MQMs (Medallion Qualification Miles) and the same gets doubled if the spending reaches $50,000. By earning more MQMs, you can become an elite-member status, which includes early boarding opportunities and free seat upgrades on all Sky Team airline partners.These includes Aeroflot, Delta, Ari France, AeroMexico, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, China Southern Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Vietnam Airlines Korean Air, Kenya Airways and SkyTeam Associates AirEuropa.
