Virgin Atlantic has renewed it partnership with Bank of America and they have introduced the Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard offering up to 40,000 bonus miles the first year.
Cardholders earn 1.5 miles for every dollar they spend on everyday purchases and 3 miles per dollar on Virgin Atlantic purchases.
Bonuses are a big part of the Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard package. Members can earn up to 40,000 miles the first year. After their first purchase they are awarded 20,000 bonus points. And they get another 15,000 miles on their first anniversary and every year after that on that date.
Cardholders earn another 5,000 miles for adding an a cardholder to their account. Tier points are also provided to help members move up to Flying Club Silver or Gold status or keep their frequent flyer program active.
Miles can be redeemed for flights and upgrades on Virgin Atlantic and partner airlines like Virgin America and Delta Air Lines.
The World Elite MasterCard package includes entree to MasterCard’s Priceless Cities program. It provides members with access to special events in their home city or one they are visiting.
Priceless cities currently offer events and packages in 26 cities, including New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Toronto and Buenos Aires. Aruba is the latest offering, and the fifth one in the Caribbean.
The events include getting early access to pre-sale concert tickets, classes with famous chefs, or a training day experience with a favorite sports team. To take advantage of this program, cardholders must first sign up on the website where they can also take a look at the current offerings.
Virgin Atlantic World Elite MasterCard credit card is the result of a partnership between Bank of America and Virgin Atlantic, an international carrier that offers service from ten U.S. Cities to London, and from there on to long-haul destinations worldwide.
