Travelers weary of waiting in long lines and taking off their shoes for airport security will be glad to hear that CLEAR, a service that offers expedited clearance, has partnered with Visa to offer cardholders a discounted price on membership.

CLEAR kiosks and dedicated lanes allow passengers to pass through security quickly, utilizing members-only checkpoints that scan their fingerprint or iris image.  Passengers can avoid the long lines and get to the gate without the hassle of taking of being off shoes or being patted down.

People who carry a Visa Signature credit card have the option of signing up for a six-month free trial of CLEAR. If they like the service, they can continue the membership for $119 a year ($60 off the annual membership rate.) CLEAR also offers a family plan. Additional people in their household can be added to a CLEAR membership for $50 each annually.

Visa Signature caters to travelers

Visa Signature cards offer a host of benefits for travelers, including emergency card replacement and cash disbursement to people whose cards are lost or stolen on the road. They also offer lost luggage reimbursement, roadside assistance, travel insurance, and access to exclusive travel packages and events throughout the year. Personal concierge service 24 hours a day, seven days a week is also one of the benefits.

People who do not have a Visa Signature card and are in the market for a frequent-flyer credit card that offers travel perks and access to CLEAR, can choose from a variety of credit card issuers. Capital One® VentureOne® Rewards Credit Card carries the Visa Signature seal.

CLEAR network is growing

CLEAR is available at five U.S. airports including: Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver International, Orlando International, San Francisco International, and Westchester County, New York. CLEAR currently has over one million members.

More information about CLEAR, its membership terms, and the way the service works can be found on clearme.com.
