Capital One® SavorOne℠ Cash Rewards Credit Card
For hardcore foodies out there, this will be the card for you. The SavorOne from Capital One earns cash back at both restaurants and grocery stores.
You'll earn an impressive 3% percent back on dining. Some other cards that are offering rewards at restaurants will only offer you 2% percent on dining. That's not bad, but this card does even better.
If your passion for food takes you into the kitchen, you'll be happy to hear that grocery store shopping earns a very respectable 2% percent back. Getting cash back for both dining and grocery stores is not easy to find in a card. These two rewards categories are not often combined together on one card. You are usually offered rewards either for dining or for groceries.
You'll also get a quick $150 bonus after spending just $500 in the first 3 months of card membership. Plus, all other purchases earn 1% percent cash back.
Beyond rewards, you'll get interest-free financing on both new purchases and balance transfers for 15 months after opening your account. That's a great way to finance a big purchase or pay down some existing debt. Just remember that when the introductory zero interest is over, your ongoing APR will be 16.24% - 26.24% (Variable).
Believe it or not, you'll get all that from this card almost for free - the Capital One® SavorOne℠ Cash Rewards Credit Card has no annual fee.Apply for a Capital One® SavorOne℠ Cash Rewards Credit Card
Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer
Maybe you don't eat out that often. Perhaps food isn't your passion, but you do enjoy getting out of the house now and again and taking a break from the kitchen. Then the Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer should be at the top of your list.
With this card, you'll get bonus cash back for all of your purchases, not just at restaurants or grocery stores. It earns a fixed percentage back, though the earning scheme is a little unusual.
When you make a purchase, you'll get 1 percent back. You'll earn another 1 percent after paying your bill.
In other words, this card rewards you for paying off your card. If you're a responsible cardholder, this is a great way to earn lots of cash back.
There are no special categories to worry about and no limits on what you can earn. You'll get 1 percent back everywhere, including restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, wholesale clubs... wherever you shop. It's a very simple and lucrative card.
While the Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer doesn't offer a 0% intro APR for purchases, it will give you an impressive 18 months of interest-free financing for balance transfers (15.74% - 25.74%* (Variable) after that). The balance transfer fee is 3% of each balance transfer; $5 minimum. If you're carrying a balance on a card with high interest rates, you need to get a 0% APR card and start paying down that debt.
You'll never have to pay to hold this card. Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer has no annual fee.Apply for a Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer
Discover it® Cash Back
This Discover card may not give you big constant rewards on dining, but it does allow to grab good earnings in different rotating categories.
You can earn an incredible 5% cash back in rotating categories that change every quarter throughout the year. The amount of cash back you can earn each quarter is limited to $1,500 in purchases. So basically, you can earn $75 in cash back each quarter if you enroll and spend maximum. No worries if you spend a bit more. Everything that you spend over those $1,500 in rotating categories will earn 1% cash back. Plus, all other purchases will earn a standard 1% cash back without caps, limits, or enrollments.
If you do not activate a 5% bonus category, you will earn 1% cash back on all purchases. What is good about activation, you can do it any time even if the category is already active. You will simply have less time to earn that 5% cash back.
Rotating categories with additional cash back are not the only benefits the card has to offer. All new cardmembers will get all their cash back matched at the end of their first year of cardmembership. Thus, if you earn $300 in cash back, Discover will match it and your total cash back for your first year will be $600! Remember this offer is for the first year only.
Like many other Discover cards with cash back rewards, this Discover it® Cash Back card has no annual fee and allows to redeem cash back in any amount, any time.Apply for a Discover it® Cash Back | *See Terms
Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card
If you think there are no other good offers for those who like dining at restaurants, you are wrong! Capital One has recently launched their new credit card for foodies - the Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card. You may think this card is similar to the SavorOne card, but it is not.
First of all, the Savor card comes with a bigger one-time bonus offer: $300 for spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening. Sounds great, especially if that spending requirement is not a big deal for you. And second, you will earn 4% - yes, 4%, it's not a typo - on dining and entertainment! No sign-ups, no changing categories and no limits - you will simply earn 4% back on dining out - a good reason to schedule one more dinner at your favorite restaurant.
Other rewards that you can earn on the go are 2% cash back at grocery stores and 1% cash back on all other purchases. Earned cash back will never expire, provided your account is active and in good standing.
However, this great offer is not that great as it could be. The card has an annual fee that starts on the second year of cardmembership. Plus, there are no promo interest rates, so you will need to clear the card balance each month to take advantage of big rewards.Apply for a Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card
Discover it® chrome
Discover it® chrome card may not be quite as good of an earner as the Savor card, but it does have its own charms. Discover's excellent Cashback Match program and stellar security features alone make this card worth considering.
To start, you'll get a solid 2 percent back at gas stations and restaurants on up to $1,000 in combined purchases every quarter. While not as generous as the other cards we've discussed, you can still earn a lot of cash back if you spend a fair amount in those categories. All other purchases earn 1 percent.
Where this card starts to shine is with Discover's Cashback Match. At the end of your first year as a cardholder (provided you are a new cardmember), Discover will match every penny you've earned.
Did you get $500 in cash back? Well, that becomes a cool $1,000 after 12 months. The more you spend, the more you'll earn. The only drawback is that the Cashback Match is only good for the first year.
The Discover it® chrome card has a few more tricks up its sleeve, though. Discover's industry-leading identity theft protections can be worth their weight in gold, and they're absolutely free.
The issuer will monitor thousands of risky websites for the illegal use of your Social Security number.
Plus, they'll check with Experian daily to see if anyone's opened a new line of credit, like a credit card or car loan, in your name. No other card company does that for free.
If interest-free financing is important to you, then Discover's got you covered. You'll get 14 months of 0% intro APR for both purchases and balance transfers. That's more flexibility than you'll get with either of the other cards. When the introductory APR ends, the go to APR will be 14.24% - 25.24% Variable, based on your creditworthiness.
