Diners Club has two new consumer rewards credit cards in its portfolio — the Diners Club Card Elite and Diners Club Card Premier. People can earn up to three points per dollar on purchases based upon the card they sign up for. The cards also include transfer options to popular frequent flyer and hotel rewards programs and admission to airport lounges.
People who opt for the Diners Club Card Elite can earn three points per dollar spent on gas, groceries and drugstores, and one point for all other purchases. There is a $300 fee for this card, and if people want another card for a family member or friend it will cost an additional $150. The Diners Club Card Premier is $95 a year and offers one point on all purchases.
Points can be redeemed for merchandise, movies, sports, travel or to make a donation to the charity of their choice. Diners Club credit cards carry the MasterCard logo, and are accepted by all merchants that accept MasterCard. They are also outfitted with new chip and pin technology to help prevent identify theft and fraud.
