New Premium Rewards Card from U.S. Bank

There is a new travel credit card in town from U.S. Bank, the Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite credit card, offering cardholders triple points back for travel related purchases. But that’s not all. This card was designed for people on the go, so they also get triple points back when making purchases using their mobile wallets, including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Android Pay and Microsoft Wallet. All other purchases earn one point for every dollar they spend.

Cardholders also get 50,000 bonus points after a $4,500 spend, which can be redeemed for $750 worth of travel. The cards package also includes a travel credit up to $325, which is applied automatically when people use their card to make travel purchases.

The bonus, the perks, the redemptions

To take advantage of the 50,000 point sign-up bonus, new cardholders must use their card to make $4,500 worth of purchases during the first 90 days they have the card.

Besides earning triple points when making purchases with a mobile wallet or using it to pay for travel, people also get additional travel related perks and benefits. For those looking for the personal touch when figuring out their travel plans, the card comes with full-service travel planning from Andrew Harper.

People also get their TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application fee back, as well as getting access to airport lounges via Priority Pass, discounted chauffeured black car service, and free Wi-Fi when flying. Cardholders also get access to special deals on premium rental cars and luxury accommodations.

When it comes to redeeming points for a statement credit people can do it in real time with the mobile app. There is a $450 fee for this card.

U.S. Bank looking to give more

For U.S. Bank this card is all about upping the ante for cardholders, which includes its sleek metal design. “We know from customer feedback that any serious premium rewards card must offer accelerated rewards earning, market leading travel redemption value and something new to capture the imagination. We have delivered that and more with U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve,” said John Steward, President of Retail Payment Solutions at U.S. Bank.

“This card provides on-the-go professionals an unmatched combination of innovative and truly valuable rewards, paired with concierge level service and small oases of luxury that help make life that little bit more rewarding and pleasurable every day,” he said.
