News: You Can Activate Chase Freedom Q2 Categories Now - Credit-Land.com

The new 5% cash back Chase Freedom bonus categories are live now. Those who have the Chase Freedom Flex® Credit Card* or Chase Freedom®* (not currently available to new applicants) can activate new categories and start earning 5% cash back now and through June 30, 2024. New categories for the second quarter are hotels, restaurants, and Amazon.com. The activation window will be open until June 14, 2024.

The 5% cash back offer terms are quite simple: you activate the 5% cash back for the second quarter to earn 5% cash back (5 points per dollar) on up to $1,500 in combined purchases in this quarter's bonus categories. If you reach the limit before the quarter ends, you will continue earning regards at the standard reward rate of your Freedom credit card.

However, this quarter, cardmembers of the Freedom Flex® card can earn even more on bonus categories. Thus, members can get 9% cash back on hotels booked through Chase Travel (hotels booked directly from a hotel will earn 5% cash back). Plus, members will earn 7% cash back at restaurants. Amazon purchases will earn at the usual pace during the quarter - 5% cash back.

Again, the 5% bonus is limited to $1,500 spent in combined purchases made in bonus categories each quarter. If you do not activate the bonus categories, you will earn the standard rewards your Chase Freedom card offers.
