Enjoy a one-time bonus of 40,000 miles once you spend $3,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening, equal to $400 in travel

Earn unlimited 2X miles per dollar on every purchase, every day

If you’re looking for a great travel rewards credit card - one that offers unlimited earning opportunities, flexible redemption, and lots of perks - look no further. This card from Capital One has you covered.

Here are five reasons to apply for the Capital One Venture Rewards Card today:

1. You get double miles - everywhere.

Most travel rewards credit cards give you one mile (or point) for every dollar you spend, and double miles only in certain spending categories, like restaurants or gas stations purchases. But the Capital One Venture Rewards Card gives you two miles for every dollar you spend. This makes it one of the most rewarding travel rewards cards on the market, with the potential to earn more miles than many other cards. To earn as many miles as possible, use it for everything - to pay bills, shop for groceries, put gas in your car, go out to eat, see movies - you get the idea.

And More...
2. You get to choose how to redeem your miles.

The Capital One Venture Miles Rewards Card offers you two ways to redeem your miles - and both are easy. The first way is to pay for travel directly through the Capital One rewards center at capitalone.com. You can reserve hotel rooms, book flights, and rent cars, using your miles to pay. The second way is to book travel directly from the airline, hotel, or car rental company you prefer. You’ll pay with your Capital One card, and when the charge shows up on your bill, you can use your miles to pay for it, with the Capital One Purchase Eraser. This does just what it says: it erases the charge from your statement (up to the amount of miles you have available).

3. You can earn two types of rewards for one purchase.

When you book travel directly and pay up front with your Venture card, instead of going through the Capital One rewards center site, you get more bang for your buck. That’s because you get to earn loyalty points from a hotel or airline loyalty program, as well as miles from Capital One. For example, if you’re a Hilton HHonors member, you can earn HHonors points and Capital One miles from the same purchase at a Hilton property. When you double up on earning rewards this way, you’ll get more value out of both rewards programs.

4. No restrictions on redemptions.

Not only are there no blackout dates or other restrictions when you book air travel or hotel rooms, but also you can use your miles for things that you might not otherwise be able to use rewards for. Think outside the box: bus tickets, train fare, renting apartments, stays at small bed-and-breakfasts, travel fees and surcharges - you can potentially use your miles to pay for any of these. As long as the merchant categorizes the purchase as a travel expense, the Capital One Purchase Eraser will work on them. Just be sure to check with the merchant first, to make sure you’ll be able to credit your reward miles to the purchase later.

5. No fees, tons of benefits.

All Capital One credit cards come with one big perk for travelers: they don’t charge foreign transaction fees. That means you’ll save around 2-3% on purchases made overseas, compared with credit cards that do charge that fee. As for other fees, the Capital One Venture Reward card does have an annual fee, but it’s waived for the first year you have the card. And that annual fee pays for plenty of benefits, like a free credit score every month and miles that never expire - as long as your account is open and in good standing. Flexibility is another great perk of this card; being able to use your miles on any airline or at any hotel gives you more options for redemption than other cards, like co-branded travel rewards credit cards. Other benefits include zero-liability in case of fraudulent activity, travel concierge service, access to special events through Visa Signature, travel accident and auto rental insurance, extended warranty coverage on purchases, and 24-hour assistance in the event your card is lost or stolen.

Besides these five reasons, there’s one more big incentive to apply for the Capital One Venture Reward Card: it comes with a lucrative sign-up bonus. Currently, the offer is 40000 reward miles after you spend $3000 within three months from account opening - but keep your eyes open, because it can go even higher.

Do you really need another reason to apply? I don’t think so.
