I’m a frequent flyer of several programs within Star Alliance, but I think it limits me. Why should I fly United but not Delta? My Turkish Airline miles are not redeemable for JetBlue, which are also fly a lot… Any advice?

Airline partnerships are difficult to track, and we’ll give you that one, they limit us. But there’s a relatively effortless way to better your lot: get a travel credit card and never worry about partnerships and alliances. The Discover it® Miles fits the description best. 1.5 miles per dollar on all purchases is more than you can earn with 2 points per dollar on a flight by a specific airline, and you can redeem with any airline! Besides your earned miles are matched at the end of the first year, which basically gives you 3 miles per dollar on all purchases. Quite a thing to consider.
