Shell gas stations like many other retailers offer their own co-branded credit cards. Such cards can be used only at Shell locations. The central card offer for this gas station is Shell Drive for Five card. It offers you 5 cents per gallon on Shell fuel.
To explore Shell rewards value let's take current price of gas gallon (somewhere around $4,61) and count the discount percentage. You'll see that 5 cents per gallon is roughly 1%. That's nowhere near 5%. That's why we don't recommend the Shell gas card - it offers low rewards only on Shell gas and has no rewards on all other purchases. However, there are decent offers in the market for those who want to save on fuel.
As we founded out earlier, Shell fuel rewards cards are not worth getting. What card will be a good alternative? These categories include grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations. So, if the current categories include gas stations, you'll earn 5% cash back on fuel.
