That is true that Citi offers Qantas credit cards. However, these cards are only for Australian residents. If you are not an Australian resident over 18 years old, you won’t be able to get a Qantas card. However, you can apply for Qantas frequent flyer program which is available to the U.S. residents. If addition to the frequent flyer program, you may want to apply for a travel rewards credit card to increase your potential savings of Qantas flights. Also, travel rewards cards will allow you to redeem earned miles or points for other travel expenses. There is no redemption restrictions as well, you can redeem earned miles with any airline or for cold cash.
