One more way is to use your cash back to credit your Discover card account. And of course you can redeem your cash back towards Discover gift cards or partner gift cards.
    Discover benefits
Discover is one of those credit card issuers who are loyal to their consumers. To support their consumers, Discover offers the whole bunch of benefits. The most welcomed amid them for students will be a free Discover Credit Scorecard. This service allows you to view your FICO credit score, recent credit inquiries, late payments, and other records you could find on your Experian credit report. When you are a student and just starting your credit history, it is important to monitor your credit score. That will help you understand how these or those credit decisions affect your credit score. This knowledge will help you make right financial decisions and avoid potential mistakes in the future.
    Considerations
What is a good student credit card? Is it a card without an annual fee, a card with low APR or a card with rewards program? Discover says the best student credit card is the one which combines all these features and even more. To prove that, they offer the Discover it® Student Cash Back credit card where all above features neatly combined with such benefits like no APR increase for paying late, free FICO credit score and $0 fraud liability. Discover knows how to treat students and does it generously.

I don’t see really how it is for students, students don’t usually have credit score good enough to get this card.
I applied though and was approved. The cashback is ok and no annual fee is what really got me in.
