CREDIT CARD OFFERS

There are two types of hotel credit cards: co-branded credit cards and hotel rewards credit cards. The first, co-branded cards, may not be affiliated with any payment network like Visa or Mastercard, and therefore can usually be used at a particular hotel brand. Earned rewards can also be redeemed with that brand only and sometimes with partners. These cards are tailored to fit frequent travelers who are loyal to one hotel chain.

The second type of hotel cards, hotel rewards credit cards, are basically regular credit cards with rewards. These cards are not tied to any hotel brand and give freedom to earn and spend rewards on almost anything, including on hotel stays and other travel expenses. The cards are a good option for those who stays at different hotel chains or travel only occasionally.

Whichever card you choose, make sure it will be good for you. There is no sense in having a credit card that won't be able to get you free hotel stays.
