card offers FROM
LEGACY CREDIT UNION
Legacy Credit Union offers two credit cards, the Visa Platinum Preferred and the Visa Platinum. A Legacy Visa can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. The Legacy credit cards are similar in several ways. However, each legacy credit card is also very different.
The similarities are that both cards offer no minimum finance charge and a 25-day grace period. This means that you will not be charged a finance charge as long as you do not carry a balance. You have 25 days after your statement closes before accruing any finance charges. Both cards also have no annual fee, no balance transfer fee, no cash advance fee and no penalty APR. Both cards also provide e-statements and Internet account access.
The main difference between the two Legacy Visa cards is the annual percentage rates. The Legacy Visa Platinum has an APR of 12.90% while the Visa Platinum Preferred has an APR of 8.90%. This might not seem like a big difference but it is. The other major difference is that only the Visa Platinum Preferred allows you to earn rewards Scorecard Rewards.
Scorecard Rewards allows members to redeem points for merchandise, gift cards and airline travel. You will get the most out of your rewards by saving huge amounts and using them for airline travel. Most other redemption methods will give you less than a penny for a point. Depending on what you redeem the rewards for, point values can range from .46 cents on a two way radio for 4,300 points to .88 cents for two Fandango movie tickets at 2,500 points.
If you had to choose between the two cards, the Legacy Visa Platinum Preferred is by far superior. Although both cards come with good features the difference in the APR is significant. Not to mention the rewards. If you want to find more ways to make each swipe go further compare some other cards here.
