Best Credit Cards with Global Entry Benefit
Some credit cards include Global Entry credit as a benefit. What they actually do is cover the $120 fee after you've paid for the enrollment with an eligible credit card. You still apply, schedule the interview, show up, and pay the application fee with your Global Entry credit card. Then you just get reimbursed the fee, usually once every four or five years. If you don't travel internationally often enough, consider TSA PreCheck. Travel credit cards usually offer reimbursement for either Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.

Global Entry is a Trusted Traveler membership program designed for international travelers. It requires an application, a background check, and an interview. Once approved, your membership lasts for five years and allows you to receive expedited security screening through the TSA PreCheck lanes at participating domestic airports, as well as accelerated entry at eligible U.S. Customs locations at land borders.
01. How do I get a Global Entry card?
To sign up for Global Entry, you need to create a Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) account. Then you need to log in to your TTP account and complete the online application and pay the $120 application fee. If you use the right travel credit card to pay the fee, the one that has the Global Entry fee reimbursement benefit, you can save on Global Entry. Once you have conditional approval, you will need to schedule an appointment at a Global Entry enrollment center. On the date of appointment, attend your interview, bring your passport and one other form of identification, and have your fingerprints taken.
02. How do I use the Global Entry benefit?
Once you are approved for Global Entry, you will receive your Known Traveler Number (KTN) immediately. You can start adding your KTN to your flight reservations and airline loyalty program profiles. Your physical Global Entry ID card will arrive later, and you will need to activate it in your TTP account if you want to use it. You may use this card for expedited entry into the U.S. via the SENTRI and NEXUS lanes.
03. How to get Global Entry for free?
Many travel credit cards offer a statement credit of up to $120 every four to five years for select TTPs, including Global Entry. You can apply for such a card before you enroll in the program, or you might already have a credit card with Global Entry credit. To be eligible for reimbursement, you have to pay the program's application fee with the card that has the fee credit benefit and you haven't used the benefit for another program. Soon after the payment, a statement credit of up to $120 will be issued to your card.
