News: Cryptocurrency Can Soon Be Used With Google Pay And Samsung Pay - Credit-Land.com

BitPay, a cryptocurrency provider and payment platform, already has one contactless digital payment option available to its BitPay Prepaid Mastercard cardholders - Apple Pay. Cardholders can use Apple Pay for in-app purchases, contactless purchases in stores and online using the crypto they have in their BitPay wallet.

Soon Google Pay and Samsung Pay customers will be able to add their BitPay card into the wallets to pay for transactions using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. BitPay hinted that it hopes to bring Google Pay and Samsung Pay support later this quarter. However, there are no details yet and nor confirmation from Google Pay or Samsung Pay.

BitPay wallet app supports various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ether. It also supports several dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies like USD Coin, Gemini Dollar, Paxos Standard, and Binance USD.

BitPay is not the only cryptocurrency service to integrate with a major mobile payment platform. Back in March 2020, popular cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase allowed its users to add their Coinbase Card to their Google Pay wallets. Coinbase was the first company to enable users to make mobile payments powered by their cryptocurrency balances. With BitPay stepping in, there will be more options available in the near future.
