News: Holiday Lounges on United MileagePlus - Credit-Land.com

Chase and United Airlines are partnering up again this year to roll out two VIP lounges loaded with free amenities in San Francisco, Calif., and Short Hills, N.J. The new lounges will open in malls on November 25 and be up and running through Christmas Eve. United MileagePlus cardholders will be able to bring three guests to the lounges, where they can take some time away from the hustle and bustle of shopping.

While at the lounge they can take advantage of free amenities like refreshments, bag and coat check, and free Wi-Fi. They can also get any presents they've brought wrapped on site, as well as watch TV and take part in weekly events designed for cardholders.

"We are thrilled to once again bring United MileagePlus Cardmembers a much needed break from the holiday chaos at our VIP Lounges," said David Gold, general manager, Chase Card Services.

Sweet treats and giving back

They will be running some special daily events in the VIP lounge, including Sweet Treat Mondays, where people can swing on by to sample treats from Carlos’s Bakery in Short Hills and Sift Dessert Bar in San Francisco.

What if you want to give back to the community? Then come on by for Toys for Tots Tuesdays, when people can donate a new toy to a child who won’t otherwise have any presents this holiday season.

The presents should retail for $15 or more, be in their original packaging and arrive unwrapped. And cardholders who bring gifts by will get a small token. The lounges will be collecting gifts on December 6, 13 and 20. Over the past several years they've collected 37,500 toys in the VIP Lounges.

Sunday is all about football for many people, so cardholders who hit the lounges on Sundays will be able to watch football live and catch up on the game between stores.

Some exclusive events

Besides the daily events there are some special events being hosted at the lounges. Inside Access from Chase is throwing a private reception featuring celebrity chefs Tyler Florence and Cindy Pawlcyn for cardholders. This casual event will occur on December 7 at the Westfield San Francisco Centre VIP Lounge. What will be going on at this foodie event? These celebrated chefs will pick out some of their favorite holiday recipes and share them with cardholders.

At the Mall at Short Hills New Jersey, it is all about football. Cardholders will be able to take part in an interactive "Chalk Talk" with New York Jets Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall and chow down on a tailgate-inspired spread.
