News: Synchrony Taking Over the HSN Credit Card Portfolio - Credit-Land.com

Synchrony will be issuing HSN's private label credit card starting next year due to a partnership with Qurate Retail Group the interactive multi-channel retailer behind the home shopping network. The partnership is slated to go into effect in August of 2019, and it is seen as a way to give customers more reach and value.

"For HSN's new credit program, we selected a trusted provider with the right combination of deep experience with a tech-forward view on customer service, marketing, and innovation," said Alex Miller, SVP of Digital Commerce & Marketing, Qurate Retail Group.

"As we continue to create differentiated shopping experiences across our networks, websites, apps, and social pages, our private label credit card program with Synchrony will help us deliver compelling value and choice to consumers," he added.

QVC and zulily are on board too

This is not the first time Synchrony and Qurate have partnered up. The retailer's corporate umbrella also includes QVC and Zulily. Synchrony began working with QVC, a global multiplatform retailer in 2005, and then last year they began working with zulily, an e-commerce site.

Synchrony and Qarate have also inked a deal extending their partnership with both these brands.

The Qurate Retail Group is comprised of seven different retail brands, which connect with just about 370 million homes around the world via 16 television networks, as well as e-commerce sites, stores, catalogs, social pages, and mobile apps.

The partnership

The partnership between Synchrony and Qurate Retail Group brings together the retail chain's experience in digital, video and social commerce with Synchrony's expertise in credit, data, marketing, and technology.

"For HSN's new credit program, we selected a trusted provider with the right combination of deep experience with a tech-forward view on customer service, marketing, and innovation," said Alex Miller, SVP of Digital Commerce & Marketing, Qurate Retail Group.

"As we continue to create differentiated shopping experiences across our networks, websites, apps, and social pages, our private label credit card program with Synchrony will help us deliver compelling value and choice to the consumer," he added.
