Chase Sapphire Preferred is giving golf fans a chance to win a 2015 PGA Championship Whistling Straits Golf Course experience this summer by sharing inspirational stories and experiences via social media. They launched the “What Drives You?” contest with a video featuring Hunter Mahan, the three-time U.S. Ryder Cup Team member and six-time PGA Tour winner.
From now until July 10 people can enter the contest by posting photos on Instagram or twitter illustrating their unforgettable golf moments – and tagging them with the hashtags #ChaseSapphirePGA and #Sweepstakes with their captions. These moments could include anything from shots taken while playing on a historic golf course to fun times teeing off with family or friends at a local course.
“Golf enthusiasts are a passionate and unique set of fans — and they all have a story or experience about their favorite golf memory or how they got into the game,” said Chase Sapphire Preferred General Manager Lisa Walker. “’What Drives You?’ celebrates these stories and passion while giving exclusive access and an incredible PGA Championship experience to one lucky winner and three guests. Our goal with Chase Sapphire Preferred is to deliver exciting experiences that matter to our cardmembers, as well as provide access to potential new members.”
The winnings
The winner will attend the 2015 PGA Championship in Wisconsin, from August 12-15, which includes round-trip airfare, a three night stay, and tickets for two days of the championship, along with access to the Chase Sapphire Preferred Hospitality Chalet for themselves and three guests.
Along with the trip, the winner will get to hang out behind the ropes during practice sessions, take a private clubhouse tour, and get golf tips from Mahan, who is excited about the contest and having an opportunity to give back to fans.
“My inspiration in golf is to do everything I can to be the best player and person I can possibly be, both in and away from the game," Mahan said. “That’s why I’m excited to partner with Chase Sapphire for the ‘What Drives You?’ campaign, celebrate passion for the sport and give back to fans of the game with a personal experience at one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments.”
This contest comes on the heels of the recent announcement of a multi-year partnership between Chase Sapphire and PGA of America and PGA Championship, making Chase Sapphire their official credit card.
