News: Discover Announced 5% Bonus Categories for Q4 2025 - Credit-Land.com

The fourth quarter of this year is inevitably getting closer and this means it's high time to activate new Discover's 5% Cashback Bonus® categories. Discover prepared two 5% cash back categories for the last quarter of the year: Amazon.com and drug stores.

The fourth quarter starts on October 1, but Discover gives its cardholders a whole month to log in and activate new quarter categories. Once eligible members activate, beginning October 1, 2025, they will earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Amazon.com and drug stores, through December 31, 2025, on up to $1,500 in purchases.

Here are the purchases that fall into the new 5% categories:

  • Amazon.com purchases include those made through the Amazon.com checkout, like digital downloads, Amazon Fresh orders, Amazon Local Deals, Amazon Prime subscriptions, and items sold by third-party merchants through Amazon.com's marketplace. This also includes purchases in-store at Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh. Purchases made online and in-store with Whole Foods Market are not included in the promotion.
  • Drug Store purchases include those made at stand-alone drug stores, pharmacies, and online pharmacies. Pharmacies inside of other retail stores may not qualify.

Eligible Discover credit cards are Discover it® Cash Back, Discover it® Student Cash Back, and NHL® Discover it® Credit Card*. If you were planning to apply for a Discover credit card, you still have time before the fourth quarter kicks in.
