News: Get Your Yellow Amex Card - Credit-Land.com

Besides getting access to lounges, free Uber rides and a 60,000-point welcome bonus, American Express Platinum cardholders can now get the new limited edition Yellow American Express Platinum card due to a fundraising initiative launched by American Express and Pharrell Williams. The duo is co-hosting the Yellow Ball, a fundraiser for Young Audiences Arts for Learning, an arts-in-education network.

The Yellow Ball is taking place on September 10, at the Brooklyn Museum, with Missy Elliott headlining the event. A variety of other performers will also be taking part in the Yellow Ball, including A$AP Ferg and DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Platinum cardholders who want to get the limited edition Yellow American Express Platinum card must buy a ticket to the event. Once that is done, they are eligible for the new card which will replace their current card - and they keep all the benefits that already come with the card.

Pharrell designs the Yellow Card

Pharrell is the Creative Director of the Platinum card, and he has designed the new Yellow American Express Platinum card. This fundraiser is very personal for him.

"Music and the arts have been part of my life since birth, but it was my teachers, Mr. Warren, Mrs. Warren and Mr. Sharps, who exposed me to so many different kinds of music, that it expanded my mind and my imagination."

"I would not be where I am today without music and arts education in my school as a youth," said Pharrell Williams. "This is why I am so grateful that American Express is working with me to make sure we keep arts and music in our schools, accessible to all, where it belongs," he added.

Also, as part of the fundraising event, American Express is slated to give Young Audiences $1 million dollars.
