• – best online shopping card, with 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers, no annual fee, and 5% cash back in certain categories that change each quarter.
• American Express Blue Cash Preferred – best for maximizing cash back, with 0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months, a $75 annual fee, and 6% cash back on up to $6,000 in grocery store purchases.
• – best travel rewards card, with no annual fee and two miles for every dollar spent on travel and dining. Also offers a sign-up bonus of 20,000 miles when cardholders spend $1,000 in the first 90 days they have the card.
• Chase Sapphire Preferre dand – tied for best frequent flyer card, these cards have annual fees of $95 (Chase) and $89 (Barclays), both waived for the first year. Chase offers a sign-up bonus of 40,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first three months, and Barclays offers a bonus of 40,000 miles after spending $3,000 in the first three months.
