News: More Redemption Options with PayPal's Pay with Rewards - Credit-Land.com

American Express, Chase, Citi, a Credit-Land.com advertising partner, and Discover cardmembers can use their credit card rewards to shop directly at their favorite brands with PayPal.

PayPal now allows to redeem rewards from eligible credit cards when consumers are making a purchase with PayPal account through Pay with Rewards program. Currently, there are only four partners and rewards programs that allow this: Amex with Membership Rewards®, Chase with Ultimate Rewards® via Chase Pay®, Citibank with ThankYou® Rewards, and Discover with Cashback Bonus®. However, PayPal left some room to further expand this list of partners.

The cardholders of eligible credit cards can use Pay with Rewards feature at any online or in-app merchant that accepts PayPal as payment in the United States. Points, cash back, miles or other reward types can be used within PayPal checkout to pay for all or part of purchases.

How to use Pay with Rewards

To redeem your rewards, you simply need to choose your eligible credit card and choose the option to use your rewards. If you have rewards balance that can be redeemed through PayPal, you will see an option to use those rewards when you check out through PayPal.

When you use the rewards through Pay with Rewards, their value may be different from other redemption options offered by the issuer. Typically, the rewards value is lower when using PayPal's Pay with Rewards program.
