The Brex Card has opened their very first lounge putting their own spin on the lounge experience for their cardholders in San Francisco. While you may well expect that it is opening at the airport in San Francisco that is not the case this credit card for startups has actually opened up shop in San Francisco’s South Park district. The Brex lounge was designed to give cardholders a place to chill, hang out, work and have meetings.

While in the Oval Room, as it’s called, cardholder can grab a cup of free coffee, set up their laptop, do some work, take advantage of concierge services or check out their library of books on Brex’s favorite topic – entrepreneurship. They can also reserve a private lounge or board room that are fully loaded with AV enabled technology for meetings which is also free. If cardholders need a computer they can also rent a Chromebook in the Oval Room.

The inside scoop on the Brex Card and earning rewards

The Brex card was designed with startups and entrepreneurs in mind, and comes along with a variety of perks, as well as letting cardholders earn rewards. What kinds of rewards do they earn? That is a great question. Cardholders earn 7X points when getting a ride with Uber and Lyft, as well as when hailing a cab.

They earn quadruple points when they use their card to book hotel rooms and flights, and this includes stays using Airbnb. Rewards can also be redeemed for travel when it’s time to cash them in.

Cardholders also earn triple points when eating out at restaurants and when grabbing coffee at a café, and double points on recurring software spends. All other purchases get them one point per dollar.

Higher limits and perks

With this card Brex prides itself on providing cardholders with higher limits since the card is designed for startups. And because the Brex Card is part of the MasterCard network it is accepted around globe.

Other benefits are also come along with this cards package, including advanced fraud protection, which includes 24/7 fraud monitoring. With this card there are no foreign transaction fees to deal with when traveling abroad.
