Zero interest balance transfer periods can last up to 21 months giving you enough time to pay the transferred balance. Just keep in mind that most balance transfer credit cards charge a balance transfer fee - a 3% balance transfer fee on average. However, your savings from transferring a balance to a 0% intro APR credit card may still be much higher than a balance transfer fee.
