News: Alaska Airlines Launched New Loyalty Program And New Credit Card - Credit-Land.com

Alaska Airlines launched Atmos™ Rewards, a new loyalty program that unifies the best of Mileage Plan and Hawaiian Airlines' HawaiianMiles to deliver more choice, more rewards, and more global access to the members.

Atmos Rewards offers new ways to earn valuable points with Alaska, Hawaiian, and more than 30 global airline partners, including the oneworld alliance. Plus, there is a rich collection of partners to earn points on purchases elsewhere.

Plus, Alaska will be the first global airline that will offer the Atmos Rewards members three earning options to choose from:

  • Earn points based on distance traveled: the points will be earned for every mile flown. This might be the best choice for cross-country or international travelers.
  • Earn points based on price paid: the points will be earned per $1 spent when purchasing a flight, including upgrades in premium cabins. This option can be great for those who fly in premium cabins.
  • Earn points based on segments flown: when members choose this option, they will earn a flat 500 points for each flight segment flown. This option can be ideal for those who take numerous short-distance flights.

Thus, Alaska will remain the only U.S. airline that offers points for miles, but later in 2026, members will be able to choose how they earn points: by distance traveled, price paid, or segments flown. Atmos Rewards members will be able to tailor the program to their travel style and choose what matters most to them.

In addition to the enhanced, combined loyalty program, Alaska Airlines introduced an updated credit card and a new premium credit card that rewards loyalty even more.

The Alaska Airlines Visa®* cards are being rebranded as Atmos Rewards Visa®* cards. Account numbers and benefits remain the same. Use of the cards and benefits will continue without interruption - there's no action for cardholders to take.

Alaska's new co-branded card - the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite®* card - is a premium credit card that offers access to exclusive benefits, a straightforward rewards structure, and valuable travel perks.

Here are the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card benefits:

  • 25,000-point Global Companion Award: Earned after qualifying spend on a new account and annually after each card anniversary.
  • 100,000-point Global Companion Award: Earned by spending $60,000 or more on purchases in a card anniversary year.
  • 3 points per $1 spent on all eligible foreign purchases.
  • 3 points per dollar spent on dining, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines purchases.
  • 8 Alaska Lounge passes (a $500+ value) and 8 Wi-Fi passes (a $60+ value) every year (2 of each per calendar quarter).
  • A free checked bag and preferred boarding for the primary card member and up to six guests on the same reservation.
  • Up to a $120 Airport Security Statement Credit every four years (TSA PreCheck® or Global Entry).
  • Every $2 spent on purchases = 1 status point, and 10,000 status points every year beginning on the first card anniversary.
  • Partner program points transfers and free points sharing.

The new Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card comes with a $395 annual fee that compares favorably to other airlines' premium credit cards. Frequent Alaska and Hawaiian flyers will get strong value with this card, especially those who travel abroad.
