News: Mastercard Introduced New "World Legend" Credit Card Tier - Credit-Land.com

Mastercard Inc. has joined the competition for big spenders, introducing a higher level of rewards card - a World Legend Mastercard card.

World Legend Mastercard is the newest category added as part of The Mastercard Collection, a new suite of elevated benefits. Now, Mastercard has the following levels for credit cards:

  • Standard Mastercard: for everyday purchases to shop and travel with confidence.
  • World Mastercard: outstanding purchasing power and world-class features and benefits.
  • World Elite Mastercard: a world of exclusive benefits in travel, entertainment, dining, and beyond.
  • World Legend Mastercard: exceptional global access to an exclusively curated suite of travel, dining, and entertainment benefits.

The new World Legend Mastercard program competes with Visa Infinite by giving cardholders access to perks, statement credits, and memberships. Here's a glimpse of World Legend benefits:

  • Complimentary year of Soho Friend, a travel and lifestyle program from Soho House.
  • Mastercard music and entertainment access.
  • Access to dining experiences and reservations at coveted restaurants.
  • Priority Pass: get access to 1,700+ airport lounges worldwide and special offers and discounts.
  • Mastercard transit benefit: save money when you tap and go at participating transit locations.
  • HealthLock: enroll in HealthLock for Mastercard Medical Claim Monitor complimentary membership plus a 90-day upgrade to all HealthLock services at no monthly cost.
  • Mastercard Concierge: a complimentary 24/7 concierge service that acts as a relentless personal assistant.
  • Mastercard travel rewards: earn cash back rewards when traveling internationally and shopping from your home.

Of course, World Legend Mastercard includes benefits of all previous levels. However, the benefits you really get access to will depend on the issuer of your Mastercard credit card. Credit card issuers tend not to give access to the whole package of perks and benefits.

The first, and for now, the only World Legend Mastercard card is the Citi Strata Elite℠ Card. Strata Elite cardholders will have direct access to the following Mastercard benefits: global emergency services, Mastercard Concierge, Mastercard Golf, Mastercard ID theft protection, Mastercard Travel Rewards, Mastercard Zero Liability, and priceless experiences.
