News: Navy Federal Launches New Rewards Credit Card - Credit-Land.com

Navy Federal Credit Union is rolling out the newest version of their Visa Signature Flagship Rewards Credit Card, giving cardholders triple points on travel purchases including airline tickets and hotel stays. But that's not all they also earn double points on all other purchases, whether eating out, shopping, going to the movies, or doing anything else.

A sign-up bonus is a great way to get started with a new card, and the Visa Signature Flagship Rewards Credit Card is offering 50,000 bonus points when cardholders spend $4000 during the first 90 days of having the card.

Some new benefits

Navy Federal have also added new perks and benefits into the mix for this card, now cardholders also get a $100 statement credit to cover the cost of their TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry fee.

Also when it comes to redeeming rewards one point now equals $0.01 in cash whether using them to get cash back, travel or buy gift cards. There is no limit on how many points people can earn, and points will never expire.

Individuals who use the balance transfer option do not have to pay a fee. There are no fees when taking a cash advance or foreign transaction fees to deal with when traveling abroad.

The roster of benefits for this card also includes cell phone protection, worldwide automatic travel accident Insurance, travel and emergency assistance, and extended warranty service.

Cardholders can also take advantage of discounts for luxury hotels, as well as concierge services.

Upping the ante

With this new card, Navy Federal was looking to up the ante for consumers in terms of rewards whether they are traveling or staying close to home. "Whether you're an adventure seeker or an everyday commuter, the improved Flagship Rewards credit card will reward you for your lifestyle," said Annie Sebastian, senior vice president of credit card products and business optimization at Navy Federal.

"Our newly added travel category offers 3X points on all travel-related spending, including ride-sharing programs, tolls, taxis, parking garages, cruises and more. We're even offering 3X points on the things people like to do while traveling, like heading to the golf course or visiting an amusement park. All that and you can still get 2X the points on everything else."
