You probably never expected to see the day when there would be a real welcome offer and the Unlimited Cashback Match™ offer on a Discover it® credit card. The Discover it® Cash Back card now comes with probably the best welcome offer ever.
The standard offer on the Discover it® Cash Back card is the unlimited Cashback Match: you earn rewards with the card on all purchases, and at the end of your first membership year, Discover will match all the cash back you earned during that year. There're no minimum spending or maximum rewards with this offer. Say you earn $150 cash back, Discover will turn that into $300.
Now, on top of this standard Unlimited Cashback Match offer, you can earn a $200 statement credit when you spend $500 on purchases in your first three months of account opening.
Unfortunately, that $200 statement credit is not matched. That means, if you receive this early-spend bonus, it won't turn into $400 at the end of your first year.
Another important thing about the $200 bonus statement credit is that existing and previous cardmembers may not be eligible for this bonus if they have received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 48 months.
