News: Spirit Will Offer Business Class Seats - Credit-Land.com

Spirit Airlines, a leading ultra low-cost carrier, is going to allow customers to pay extra for comfort and additional benefits. Spirit is revamping its existing fare products to introduce new premium offerings starting August 2024.

Starting August 16, 2024, Spirit will offer new fares for booking: Go, Go Savvy, Go Comfy, and Go Big travel options. The full launch of all benefits and experiences is planned to finish by August 27, 2024.

The Go and Go Savvy fares will be the cheapest offerings. The new premium experience - Go Comfy and Go Big - are enhanced premium options for those who look for affordable comfort. Here are more details of the four new fares:

  • Go is the most affordable of the four. Its designed for those who want to keep it simple with the flexibility to purchase: a checked bag, standard seat selection, Wi-Fi, and snacks and drinks.
  • Go Savvy provides a choice of either a carry-on bag or checked bag and standard seat selection during booking. Plus, it allows guests to purchase Wi-Fi and snacks and beverages.
  • Go Comfy is a brand-new seating option that offers increased comfort and space with a guaranteed blocked middle seat, one carry-on bag, one checked bag, priority boarding, and a snack and non-alcoholic beverage. Plus, it allows travelers to purchase Wi-Fi.
  • Go Big resembles a business class fare and it includes a Big Front Seat®, snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, one carry-on bag, one checked bag, priority check-in and boarding, and streaming access through Wi-Fi. The Big Front Seat features enhanced comfort with wider seats, extra legroom, additional seat cushioning and no middle seat.

Priority boarding will include groups 1 and 2, which will be limited to Go Big and Go Comfy fares, Free Spirit Gold and Silver elite members, Free Spirit co-branded credit card holders, and active-duty U.S. service members and their families. Priority check-in lanes will be available to Go Big fare or who are Free Spirit Gold elite members or co-branded credit card holders in more than 20 airports nationwide. Both benefits will become available starting August 27, 2024.

All these enhancements come in addition to previously announced new benefits like no charge or cancellation fees, increased checked bag weight (up to 50 pounds), and extended Future Travel Vouchers expiration to 12 months.
