The Newegg credit card is a fairly basic credit card that is similar to any store card with an exclusive financing offer. With a Newegg Preferred account, the only real benefit you get is the ability to partake in one of Newegg’s no-interest financing offers. The only problem with these offers is that there is a catch to them. If you decide to choose a no interest financing plan, you only receive the no- interest offer if all of your payments are made on time and within the allotted amount of time in the agreement. If you miss a payment or don’t pay off the full balance in the timeframe agreed upon, you are stuck with paying the interest all the way back to the original purchase date at an APR of 29.99%. What I would recommend is that you skip the Newegg store card, and apply for a general bank card that comes with an introductory APR of 0% on purchases, and make your purchase with that.
