That depends. Many credit card issuers do not put expiration dates on reward points or miles, but some do. You'll need to check with your particular card to see what their policy is. If you are able to still use your points, be sure you have an online account login and password so you can redeem your points easily. Depending on what the card is, you might be able to use them for cash back, getting a statement credit toward your balance, or you could even redeem them for frequent flyer miles if your credit card is a travel rewards card. If your points have expired, you may be out of luck, but hopefully you can still use them. In future, having a credit card that gives you reward points you can easily keep track of and redeem will ensure that you don’t let points expire or go to waste.
