In a few weeks, I will be purchasing my entire seasonal sporting attire from Nike and it’s going to be expensive so I was hoping to pay for my purchases with a credit card. I don’t currently have a credit card so I was wondering, what type of credit card do you think would be best for completing this purchase?

The type of card that you should use is going to be based on your overall intentions for wanting to use a credit card. One reason for choosing to pay with a card is because you’re trying to get the most out of your purchase. If this is the case, you definitely want to apply for something like a general rewards credit card and depending on the total value of your purchase, it may be an even better idea to apply for a rewards card with a sign-up bonus. Based on the rewards card you use, the points you earn may be redeemable for award travel, a statement credit or a Nike gift card. If you’re only using a credit card because you don’t have the funds together, your best option would probably be a 0% intro APR card.
