If it is the Disney Rewards Visa card you are considering, then it won’t help you a lot. The card has 1% rewards, which is low even for co-branded cards. And the $50 statement credit is way surpassed by most of any cards. We strongly suggest that you better take a general rewards card, cause that way you’ll get much more rewards, and the cards can be used anywhere. For example, the Discover it® Cash Back credit card offers you 1% cash back on all purchases and in addition to that – 5% in selected categories that rotate each quarter (up to the quarterly maximum and if you activate them). That’s 5% more on purchases. And more than that, at the end of the first year of usage (if you are a new cardmember), Discover will match all the cashback you earn.
