News: Capital One Adds New Travel Partners and Announces Second Lounge - Credit-Land.com

In 2018, Capital One introduced their miles transfer program to allow eligible cardholders to convert Venture and Spark miles into airline miles. This week, the program announced some great changes - the addition of another three airline loyalty programs and one hotel program.

Until recently, Capital One had 15 travel partners. Now Capital One will have 17 partners. Here are below new travel loyalty programs that have already joined CapitalOne's transfer program or are about to do so.

- British Airways Executive Club: Oneworld member; transfer ratio - 1:1; joined on April 20.

- Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles: Star Alliance member; transfer ratio - 1:1; joined on April 20.

- TAP Portugal Miles&Go: Star Alliance member; transfer ratio - 1:1; joined on April 20.

- Choice Privileges: transfer ratio - 1:1; to join later in 2021.

This update makes the current sign-up bonus on the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card even more attractive. Note that new cardholders can earn 75,000 bonus miles for spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Another announcement from Capital One is about Capital One lounges. In 2020, Capital One revealed its plans to open its first airport lounge at Dulles International Airport (IAD), Washington DC. Now Capital One announced that it will be opening the second lounge at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in late summer 2021. The Capital One lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) is planned to be open in 2022.
