There is an extra perk on the table for people applying for Delta’s Platinum and Gold SkyMiles Credit Cards because they are now eligible to get 50% back on purchases made with Delta during the first 3 months they have their card. For people with Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card the limit on this cash back promotion is $500, and for the people using the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card the cash back cap is $300. The cash back is delivered as a statement credit.

What about bonus miles? With the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, new cardholders can also earn 30,000 bonus miles once they use their card to pay for $1,000 in merchandise, services or travel during the first 90 days they have their card.

On the other hand, people with a new Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card can earn 50,000 bonus miles once they spend $3,000 with their new card during the first 90 days they have their card.
It is important to note that this offer is time-limited and only available until August 15, 2019.

The ins and outs of the Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card

Besides getting the welcome bonus and the 50% back offer that comes along with the Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card new cardholders continue earning points when these offers run out. They earn double points on all spends with Delta and one point per dollar on other purchases.

They also get access to Miles Boost, which lets them earn 10,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) once they spend at least $25,000 during the year.

They also get one Domestic Main Cabin round-trip companion certificate when their card is renewed. When traveling with Delta they also get one checked bag for free and priority boarding.

The annual fee for this card is $195.

Then there is the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card

With the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card cardholders earn double miles when using their card with Delta and one mile per dollar everywhere else. They also get their first bag checked for free and priority boarding. They also get 20% off on inflight purchases. The annual fee for this card is $95 but it is waived for the first year.
