News: Meet Refreshed Chase Air Canada Aeroplan® Credit Card - Credit-Land.com

Chase and Aeroplan announced the refreshed Chase Air Canada Aeroplan® Card* with new and upgraded benefits, and new annual fee.

The refreshed Air Canada Aeroplan Card is now live with the best welcome offer ever: new cardmembers can earn up to 115,000 bonus points. Cardmembers can earn 75,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening. Plus, cardmembers can earn additional 40,000 bonus points after spending $20,000 on purchases in the first 12 months of account opening.

The new Chase Air Canada Aeroplan Card provides increased earning potential and new ways to save on Air Canada flights. Here are new and updated benefits:

  • Automatic Aeroplan 25K status with no spending requirement.
  • Up to 5X total points on Air Canada purchases.
  • 3X points on travel purchases.
  • 2X points on gas station purchases.
  • Up to $100 in Air Canada statement credits annually.
  • 15% off on eligible Air Canada flight redemptions.
  • 2X points on dining, takeout, and delivery services. (Through December 31, 2026, earn 3X per $1 spent.)
  • 2X points at grocery stores. (Through December 31, 2026, earn 3X per $1 spent.)
  • Starting January 2027, Air Canada Aeroplan Credit Card cardmembers get a 4th Day Free at 11,000+ car rental locations worldwide when they book for 4 days in one reservation with Aeroplan points.

Additionally, cardmembers will continue to enjoy a range of existing benefits, including:

  • A $120 fee credit toward Global Entry, TSA PreCheck® or NEXUS every four years.
  • Cardmembers can stay longer with a 4th Night Free when they redeem Aeroplan points for 3 consecutive hotel nights in the same booking.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • Pay Yourself Back: Aeroplan points may be redeemed for a statement credit for recent travel, dining, grocery store and gas station purchases.
  • Travel protection benefits, including trip cancellation/interruption insurance, baggage delay insurance, trip delay reimbursement, and auto rental collision damage waiver.
  • World Elite Mastercard benefits.

Existing cardmembers have some time before they see a higher annual fee for their Air Canada credit card. The new $195 annual fee will kick in after December 1, based on their renewal date. Also, there's still time to earn increased 3 points per dollar on dining and groceries. Starting January 1, 2027, those categories will earn 2 points per dollar spent.

Overall, the new Chase Air Canada Aeroplan Card has become more rewarding for travel and gas purchases. Frequent Air Canada flyers will find plenty of value in the new benefits, even with a higher annual fee.
