News: Citi / AAdvantage Executive Mastercard Is Getting a Major Refresh - Credit-Land.com

The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®* will be renamed the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard®* and will get new and enhanced premium travel and lifestyle benefits designed for frequent American Airlines travelers.

American and Citi say the card will offer up to $2,300 in value, including Admirals Club® membership and faster path to AAdvantage® status. Cardmembers will get new travel benefits, richer statement credits and new ways to earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points.

The annual fee will be "refreshed" as well, though. The enhanced Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive Mastercard® will be available for an annual fee of $695 for new cardmembers, starting on Aug. 23, 2026.

Here are new or enhanced benefits of the refreshed card:

  • Up to $500 annually on eligible American Airlines Vacations℠ purchases.
  • Up to $100 annually on inflight and eligible Admirals Club® purchases.
  • Up to $180 annually in Lyft credits after taking three eligible rides in a calendar month (increased from the previous maximum of $120 annually).
  • 12X AAdvantage® miles on eligible AAdvantage Hotels® and eligible AAdvantage Cars® bookings (increased from 10X AAdvantage® miles).
  • Up to 40,000 bonus Loyalty Points per qualification year after reaching qualifying milestones (increased from up to 20,000).
  • Complimentary Omni Hotels & Resorts Champion status.
  • An annual Omni Free Night reward after completing an eligible stay.
  • Complimentary Avis President's Club status through Aug. 31, 2028.

The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive will continue to be the only card that includes Admirals Club® membership, valued at up to $1,400 annually. Cardmembers will receive unlimited lounge visits for the primary cardmember and up to two guests or immediate family members, with access to more than 100 Admirals Club® lounges and partner lounges worldwide. Taking that American is updating Admirals Club® annual rates and introducing a new single membership tier, this benefit is becoming extremely valuable.

The enhanced Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard® card raises the bar for premium travel by offering exclusive benefits and priceless experiences around the world.
