News: New Business Card from Chase and Southwest Airlines - Credit-Land.com

Chase and Southwest Airlines are rolling out a new business credit card offering business owners more ways to earn rewards, as well as a better experience while traveling. With the Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card, new cardholders can earn 80,000 bonus points once they spend $5,000 during the first 90 days they have their new card. This bonus has the distinction of being the biggest one they have ever offered for a credit card.

The Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card is reportedly the end result of asking owners of businesses what they want from a credit card. “Through research, we heard directly from business owners that they’re looking for simple and attainable perks out of their business credit cards, as well as more rewards for the business they do,” said Leslie Gillin, Chase Co-Branded Cards President.

“That was the inspiration for the new Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card, which is all about providing business owners with the reward categories most relevant to them, while at the same time offering enhanced travel benefits from an airline known for its exemplary Customer Service,” added Gillin.

Triple points on travel and more

With the Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card, people earn triple points when booking flights with Southwest airlines, as well as when booking hotel rooms and rental cards via their partners.

They also earn double points when making social media and search engine advertising spends, as well as when using their card to pay for their internet, phone and cable services. All other spends get them one point per dollar.

They also snag another 9,000 points when their anniversary rolls around.

Points never expire as long as the account is active, and cardholders can get additional employee cards for free.

Enhanced travel experience

What about their enhanced travel experience? This card comes along with four upgraded boarding’s per year, as long as they are available. Cardholders also get Inflight WiFi Credits so they can stay connected while in the air.

If they use their card to pay for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck they also get a $100 credit to cover the fee. When traveling abroad there are no foreign transaction fees to deal with, and when booking flights with points there are no blackout dates or seat restrictions.

If cardholders need to change their flight there is no extra cost and their bags fly for free.

With the Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business Card people also earn tier qualifying points which can be used toward A-List and A-List preferred status. They earn 1,500 TQP every time they spend $10,000, and continue to earn until they have 15,000 points.

The annual fee for this card is $199.
