Black Friday Shopping 2025: Best Credit Cards from Our Partners
Discover it® Cash Back
This card offers a simple way to earn on your Black Friday shopping. Discover it® Cash Back is a typical cash back card with rotating categories, meaning you can get increased rewards in certain shopping categories each quarter. You can earn 5% cash back when you shop in rewards categories (up to a quarterly maximum each time you activate). When you reach the category limit, you will continue earning 1% cash back, plus all other purchases will earn 1% per dollar. Discover will match all the cash back you earn for the first year of using the card (provided you are a new cardmember). For example, you could turn $150 cash back into $300. If you combine Black Friday discounts, no annual fee, rewards, and promotional rates on purchases, you'll see your savings pile up.
Citi Strata℠ Card
The Citi Strata℠ Card is a great option for Black Friday travel deal hunters, especially for those who use the Citi Travel® portal. You can earn 5X ThankYou® Points on hotels, car rentals, and attractions booked on Citi Travel via cititravel.com. Such categories as supermarkets, select transit, gas and EV charging stations, and self-select category will always earn 3 ThankYou® Points for each $1 spent. The card also comes with 15 months of 0% intro APR on purchases, which will give you plenty of time to pay off all Black Friday purchases without paying a penny in interest. Just keep in mind, when the introductory promotional rate is over, a go-to APR will apply to the remaining balance and all new purchases. Additionally, you will earn 30,000 bonus Points after spending $1,000 in the first three months of account opening. That is a great rewards structure for a no annual fee credit card.
Discover it® Miles
If you think winter is the perfect time for traveling, raise your hands. Ok, we think so too. Black Friday shopping can bring you a lot of miles that you can spend on travel if you apply for the Discover it® Miles. Discover gives you 1.5x miles on every dollar of every purchase and matches all your earned miles at the end of the first year if you are a new cardmember. Thus, if you earn 35,000 miles, you get 70,000 miles. So, basically, you get 3 miles per dollar on all your holiday shopping the first year. Redeeming miles for travel seems just a nice way to extend the Black Friday fun.
TD Cash Credit Card
If you are planning some big purchases on Black Friday and do not want to overpay, consider the TD Cash Credit Card. With this card you will have 15 months of 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers. So you can either put your purchases on this card or transfer some debt from other cards. Just keep in mind that there is a balance transfer fee and your low introductory APR will eventually end and a go-to APR will apply. In addition to low rates, this card comes with rewards on purchases. You will be able to change your 3% and 2% spend categories every quarter, based on your plans. All these great features and benefits are at zero annual fee for the card.
Citi Double Cash® Card
One more cash back credit card for Black Friday shopping is the Citi Double Cash® Card. With this card, you will earn solid 2% cash back on every purchase without any limitations. The process is easy: you earn 1% cash back when you buy, and you get an additional 1% as you pay for those purchases. This card will keep you motivated to pay off the card balance in full to maximize your savings. While it's enough to pay at least the minimum due on time to earn the second half of cash back rewards, we encourage you to pay off the card balance in full each month. Doing so, you will be able to avoid interest payments.
Walmart MoneyCard®
If you are planning to grab some Black Friday deals at Walmart, but you are not into credit cards, then take a look at Walmart MoneyCard. It's a reloadable debit card that will allow you to earn cash back on Walmart purchases. The card earns 3% cash back at Walmart.com (including the Walmart app), 2% cash back at Walmart fuel stations, and 1% cash back at Walmart stores, up to $75 each year. The fee for the card is $5.94 a month, but you can avoid this fee by depositing $500+ to the card on a monthly basis. For your convenience, you can set up direct deposits to receive your pay from your employer or benefits provider up to two days earlier.
