I see that the Marvel card offers 3% cash back on dining and entertainment but I also see that it is offered by Synchrony. My Synchrony Paypal doesn’t allow me to redeem if I have less than 6000 points, meaning I lose my points if I don’t make it. And the value of points is $.01. So I think the Marvel’s 3% is the same deal.

Even though PayPal and Marvel cards are issued by one bank – Synchrony Bank - the cards and the rewards programs are not the same. The Marvel credit card allows you to earn cashback, not points, and redemption is automatic every billing cycle without any minimums. All cash back you earn on a Marvel card during a billing cycle will be calculated and issued as a statement credit to your Marvel account. So, if you keep the Marvel credit card in good standing, you won’t lose your cashback rewards.
