Before you switch to the Discover it® Miles card, we would recommend you make some calculations to see what your savings will be with the card. You will benefit from switching to the Miles card if your savings are bigger, if not, you may simply get this card and use it as an addition to your United credit card.

The Discover it® Miles card will allow you to earn more on everyday purchases – 1.5 miles. And if you do not fly with United a lot, you will be able to earn more miles when you fly with other airlines or on other purchases. Discover allows redeeming earned miles for any airline ticket and if the transaction includes taxes, fees and surcharges, the miles will cover them as well. The Miles card does not have an annual fee and it does not charge foreign transaction fees. And if you do not want to redeem for travel statement credits, you can always redeem your miles for cash deposited to your bank account.
